I’ve been trying to write something new for about a week now, and could never settle on anything that really appealed to me. As I puttered about in the garden tonight with Moops, it hit me: I don’t need anything special to write about. All the amazing things in my life are those little moments that happen every day. Tonight my little helper joined in the preparation of dinner; although it was just beans on toast it was especially yummy! We absolutely love beans on toast, with a bit of cheese of course, and sometimes the simplest meals are the best…
Then we moved outside to weed and rake one of the unfinished beds and set about putting a small rock border around the entire area. We ran out of rocks, BUT it looks really cool and we’re both super excited to finish it.
Our two cats, Benny and Aslan played about in the yard just sniffing all the plants or watching the bugs. Moops and I happily tended to the flowers…times like this my friends, are the simple things in life that we should never forget.
I have lots to be thankful for. I have a great yard that’s shaping up, the sun should come out tomorrow and I have a roof over my head. I have food in the cupboards and this past week at work has shown me what solidarity means and how someone’s true colors have a way of always showing through in the end. I know who I can trust, I know who stands by me and I know where I stand to the people who matter in my life.
Look around and see what ways you’re blessed. What simple things are you taking for granted?

You should never be stuck for words to blog about when you are a cat owner, just watch them for 20 minutes and you will be inspired, thats what I do!

So true Keith! I never thought of that! But I have to keep in mind I don’t want to come across as a ‘crazy cat lady” who only talks about the antics of her furry friends! Thanks for reading
I hope I don’t take the simple, sweet things in life too much for granted but I’m sure I sometimes do. Had a simple 4th around the house with my husband and family, feeling very grateful for them.

I have to remember to slow down and enjoy those moments. They’re gone before we know it and all that’s left is the memories. Those important things don’t always have to be the BIG things, right? Enjoy
I loved the post, I mean writing is something you don’t really need a big discussion or a God Particle discovery, You can get inspiration from the smallest things around!
Even I love Candy Corns! they are just yummmmy!
