While I’m not a huge supporter of processed foods for the majority of a Vegetarian diet, I do think the sausages over at Tofurkey have hit the nail right on the head for givings us Veg-People something we can REALLY GRILL AND SINK OUR TEETH INTO. I find these sausages a huge lifesaver for meals when I’m feeling rushed or out of energy even. Slice them up and throw in pasta, add to pizza’s or into a whole wheat bun piled high with your favorite toppings…

I love a good, wholesome (did I mention chocolatey) snack…and I’ve been a fan of what this company has to offer for years. Looks like a new one out- well new to me anyway! Nature Valley Granola Thins w/ Dark Chocolate. They’re made with the whole grains of all Nature Valley products PLUS a thin layer of chocolate and 80 calories a piece. Top one with an apple or a handful of fruit for a yummy and pretty good for you mid-day snack!

Kashi Go Lean Crunch: Now I’ve said it before and I stand behind these words…”I could live on this stuff.” It’s seriously tasty and it STAYS crunchy. It’s packed with tons of grains and has a light cinnamon sweetness to it. Just make sure not to get the regular Kashi Go Lean, the box must say Crunch…I’m not sure what happened with the regular one but it reminds me of what gerbil food looks like…and those little pellets in the Kashi (regular box) taste like sawdust. Do the Crunch and do it NOW.

Vitalicious, the makers of VitaTops (thank you Tania!)…a chocolatey-goodness treat that is full of fiber, 100 calories a pop and oh, did I mention CHOCOLATE? Yes…I think I did. But seriously, it’s a smart little snack to have on hand as long as you eat it responsibly. (You know make sure and snack on fruits and veggies too!)

Riceworks. I love, love these “chips”. Sure you pay a little more but they’re gluten free and made with whole grain brown rice. They come in delicious flavours and full of salty yummy crispy goodness. The flavour shown in the pic is my ultimate fave.
