A Client at work the other today told us about a special little place he visited…it’s called SAINTS, Senior Animals in Need Today Society. He was emotional as he talked about the 35 year old horse nobody wanted that he met, and the countless old and loveable dogs without homes. The website reads, “SAINTS is an end of life sanctuary for seniors and special needs animals that have nowhere else to go. We provide a loving environment and proper medical care for all residents.”
 
Even better, looks like they are hosting an open house on June 25 and 26, 2011,  from 11-3 pm and admission is by donation. Give freely what you can and with your heart.

It’s a damn shame I even have to post something like this. Please visit this blog and read about beloved Bif Naked’s crusade to bring more awareness to the fur trade. This time it hits a sore spot in particular with me; it’s about cat and dog fur namely. There’s a petition to sign, some info to contact your local MP (if you don’t know who the hell that is, don’t worry, the info is there to help you…). I have loved what Bif Naked stands for, for years…and working in the Animal Health industry myself, I’ve seen the results of her efforts.
